We arrived when the park opened to get as much ride time in as we could. After passing through security we headed to The Big One via Icon. Not much work was being done. The footers and station foundations were in place however no obvious progress was being made. I'd completely forgotten what the Big One was like so was unsure whether it would be worth the 30 minute queue. I waited and sat at the back of the train, and I have to admit, it wasn't worth the wait. I was highly disappointed and had forgot how rough it was. It was pretty forceless and the second half of the ride had bad pacing. However, I did get some floater airtime on the first drop.
Once off, we headed to Revolution, an Arrow looping/ shuttle coaster. To be honest, this was the best coaster of the day. The loop was forceful, it had some nice ejector airtime and was quite smooth. I enjoyed it so much I went in for a second time.

After Revolution, I headed over to Red Arrows Sky Force, and I loved it! I hadn't ever been on anything like it and I was pleasantly surprised. (I didn't get it to invert but got close). It was an interest experience and a it would be great to see more of these arriving at parks.
Next was Steeplechase. The queue took around 10 minutes, so it wasn't to bad. If you don't already know, Steeplechase is a ride where you travel along a single rail on a horse and navigate some small hills and banking. It's the only one of its kind in the world and I can see why. The transitions were painful and it was quite boring. Still it's a classic and the queue was quite short so I didn't mind to much. It was lunch next so we took a break for a little while.
After lunch, it was time for a ride on Avalanche, the park's Mack Bobsled coaster. This is my favourite part of the park, as the theming is decent. I love the interior of the station building, as it is filled with little details. The ride was way morw enjoyable and faster than I remembered. The sensation of hurtling down a hill with no tracks was a fun one, and a in my opinion, it's the 4th best a ride at the park.
Next we went over to Infusion, a Vekoma Suspended Looping Coaster. We rode it twice, once at the front and one at the back, as the was no queue. The front wasn't too bad. However the back was unbearable. It was really rough and the inversions were uncomfortable. To add to the pain, during our second go, it began to rain. I left the ride with a bad headache. But then again, that's what happens when you go on an SLC.

It was raining quite heavily now, so we looked at the available indoor attractions. In the end we decided to go on River Caves, an old attraction where you tour scenes on a small boat. It was quite relaxing and enjoyable. The scenes were detailed and the queue was only short. Yes, it was no Symbolica, but considering when it opened I was impressed.
Next came one of the highlights of the day: Wallace and Gromit Thrill o matic. I loved it. The scenes were brilliant, the use of darkness and lighting was phenomenal and the theming and soundtrack were amazing. The execution of the ride was perfect and overall it was a really good ride. It was definitely one of my favourite dark rides I've been on, and a top 5 in the UK.
By then it was around 3 o'clock. It had stopped raining so we queued for Ice Blast. I'd never been on a shot tower before however I had ridden several drop towers. I found it quite forceless, compared to the drop towers I had experienced, but I didn't mind too much as the queue was only 15 minutes or so. Unfortunately we had to leave fairly early so we had time for one last ride. We chose Revolution as it was the highlight of the day. It performed as we expected and it was a thrilling ride.

Overall, it was a fun day with some highs and lows. If we had longer we could have done Valhalla, the Big Dipper and the Grand National. It's a good park however needs something new adding to it. Hopefully Icon will be a good addition to the park. For me, this isn't a great park, as I prefer theming over thrills, but if you want hours of fun, I'd recommend a day out at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
